What
is a Gulet?
Traditional Turkish yachts are called 'gulets'. To someone who knows
nothing about boats, the gulet is a miraculously survived relic
from the days of Christopher Colombus. It is a compromise between
tradition and twentieth century hedonism.
There is the forward deck, ideal for sun worshippers and the generous
aft deck for lazy living.
The cabins have comfortable king size double beds with ensuite WCs
and showers.
The crew have separate quarters with totally private facilities.
The interior saloon is spacious.
The fully equipped galley has a full size oven and cold stores.
The beauty of the Gulet lies not in its shape nor in its speed (10
knots at best), but in the leisured freedom it grants.
